On the first day of the exhibition the @untitled.tbilisi hosted a discussion, summarising the art residency program and experience, inviting the current and ex participants and curators, as well as Alfio Tommasini @alfio.tommasini, a Swiss artist and curator, the founder of @verzascafoto art residency in the Swiss Alps.

Each art residency is a unique experience and a place, which provides time, space, and resources for individual or collective art practice - reflection, research and/or production. Each residency has its own goals and rules, providing opportunities and expecting from participants to apply their art practice within another community, meeting new people and reflecting the actual context. In addition, residencies provide opportunities for communication, which is an essential emotional basis of coexistence between the artist and the institution, the artist and the audience, and artists with each other.
