In the beginning was the word. We use words in our dialogs and communication and call it a language. AI is gaining mastering of language at a level that surpasses the human abilities.
Recently @boriseldagsen, photomedia and AI artist and researcher, received the Sony World Photography award for the photo generated by AI, and during the award ceremony refused to get it claiming that it was an experiment with AI generators and that this picture is not a photography. His main point was that they are different entities, and they shouldn’t compete with each other in an award like this. It should be an open discussion about what people consider photography and what not.
